The current version looks slightly different than one in the picture the inner surfaces that cook the batter are lighter in color and appear to be some sort of nonstick material

The other difference in the updated version is that the really excellent timer which had separate minute and 15second buttons with positive action and a large easytoread display has been replaced by a flimsyfeeling onebutton timer whose display is tiny and hard to read

The new timer is so ridiculous that i usually end up using a standalone timer or my phone

The waffles will always stick and break apart if the griddle is not sprayed with cooking spray
