    The motor although strong enough to slice through larger cuts of meat with ease is quiet so when slicing for extended periods the motor isnt irritating

    Had been using the cheap slicers you buy at sporting good stores not a good choise when your trying to slice 200 lbs of meat

    The motor is set back far enough into the unit so have had no issue with food getting into the motor or gears
