When cooking is completed, this rice fluffs up beautifully. My rice cookers have gaba settings, which allows brown rice to germinate prior to cooking. Make extra and save for extra.



Cons

Indian basmati may be a devil in disguise. Tossed it. Adding insult to injury, the rice is not eligible to be returned.

The expiration date states best used by jan. With pride of india, it's only 5 months, which is ridiculously short for rice. Bought the rice november 2022 and just went to use it and had bugs in it.

    Only tried absorbtion method so far using 21 ratio

    Rinse 23 times soak for maybe 2025 min then drain return to pot adding the water boil for 45 minutes then simmer covered for a good 30 minutes until moisture absorbed then let stand another 7 minutes or so

    For now i prefer the pilaf preparation sauteing onions in the pot before adding broth as replacement for the water
