Pros & Cons
Pros
These are thicker than the compostable bags that i was using. Since these are on the thicker side, they are less likely to rip or disintegrate too early. The bag's a 3lb bag and just fits into a bjs dishwasher pod container.
Cat box and rabbit dirty cage litter is quite heavy and i fill the bag up fairly well. It's honestly never too major - if i see the bottom of the bag is looking a little ragged when i take it out, i just slip another bag over it. It doesn't smell any ... Read More
Might be slightly more effort and mindfulness, but small price to pay for keeping mother earth a bit less plastic infested. It's handy and reminds me to compost.
Cons
These are the weakest compost bags that i've used. They rip easily with a moderate load, about 10 lbs. They rot asap as soon as you put anything even vaguely moist in. The moisture seeping through is due to the nature of it being compostable.
Great concept, lousy reality. I assume this was a manufacturing problem and would appreciate a refund for the three rolls. The only thing that gives us hope is that the collectors are fairly often too busy to notice.
Highlights
Quality
Great quality and enough to not have to think about them for awhile.
07 thicker which helps with its durability.
Within a few months of being in the outside compost pile, the bags are visibly disappearing.
They last about a week before they leak.
Price
They are a great price and i get to make a positive impact to the planet.
This bag is a great value and holds up well during the week.
To not feel guilty throwing out the trash, priceless.
I love them, but wish they were a bit longer for the money.
Packaging/appearance
Conveniently contained in a narrow box for under the sink storage and no tangled bags as easily slide out of box.
These bags do best when you keep recyclable packaging and compostable food scraps separate.
It can be packed pretty tight without tearing.
Competitiveness
Of course i can't tell a difference - the two brands function basically exactly the same.
02 mm thicker than the other brand i had been using.
I have tried others that are very thin, but these are much better.
