I am very happy with this product.
Very pleased with this product thus far.
Assuming you have some moonlight it is really cool to just augment your own night vision as-needed with the red illumination.
Wish it was less expensive, but it was the cheapest i could find with the color light filter.
Price
Definitely would recommend, especially since it's list price is so low.
Packaging/appearance
It has the ability to slide the red lens out of the way to provide white light if that becomes necessary.

I will say right off the bat in actual tactical applications this might be a very bad choice it bleeds a lot to the sides and its bright even on low

I can certainly live with it considering the strengths of this light including its price but maybe princeton tec could put out a mkii with an extra mode that only powers on the middle two leds on low

When i received it originally i thought that i got the wrong order because there was a red lens inside the lamp

Great for night photography to allow one to make camera adjustments without the use of a white light beam of typical headlamps or flashlights thus causing one to loose their night vision for a while

In most headlamps the red leds never seem to be the first setting so you end up cycling through the white light first killing your night vision and giving away your position

I dropped the light accidentally from about 4 feet unto a linoleum floor and this hinge cracked and the retainer for the filter broke off
