Pros & Cons
Pros
As an amateur astronomer, i like that the default is a low power red light. This little * is bright. When devastation happens, we look for all small helps and figurative-- or literal -- brightness.
The nice thing is you can use it in red mode without having to go through the white mode blinding your night vision. It defaults to the dim red light first, to prevent accidental blinding your fellow campers or yourself. I think it's supposed to flash... Read More
Light is compact, bright, rugged and allows for headband-type wear. The brighest beam is very wide and offers respectable distance. It is very light, but the trade off is delicacy. This light is extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear.
I use this for light to medium duty (biking, hiking, finding things in the garage) i use it for both army training and civilian networking/it work as well. Bought two of these for our camping and hiking in the utah desert.
It's awesome to work with a us based company that actually remembers what good old fashioned customer service is. I work on overseas contracts in harsh environments.
Cons
Material quality of the headlamp is *far* below princeton tec headlamps manufactured years ago. The headlight has problems with turning on. Hinge area needs to be beefier.
Highlights
Quality
I purchased this with the intent to use it for night running, plus an unhealthy affection for headlamps.

The battery life is good and the light quality is top notch.

If you work at night, or cycle at night, do not let the cost give you hesitation.
