Rather than cycling through using buttons to find the red light and hindering my night vision the red light is the first stop with all the white lights following from low to high

The first i had for nearly two years and used it very little before it started to flicker and then would never turn off

One of the leds would be very dimly lit when the switch was in the off position so the next time i used it the batteries would be completely drained

However i had it replaced under warranty great to have a 5 year warranty and this one seems to be working fine so far

It uses 3 aaa batteries to operate and i was getting around 4 to 5 hours of use out of a set of batteries on the medium and high settings which unfortunately was way too short a duration for me to be able to use it almost continuously for an 8 or 10 hour work day without changing batteries
