This book is a great and otivating life story even if you are not interested in the topic of investing. This level of vulnerability creates a genuine connection with the reader and instills a sense of trust. It is very entertaining and educational.

The author is very proud of himself for spending a lot of money to conduct personality tests to put the right people in the right job. The book is largely the author talking himself up. It has a good writing style but the story is very boring.

The most annoying part is when dalio tries using pop psychology and pretends to understand neuroscience. Dalio relies on worthless platitudes that a sixth grader could come up with.
