Pros

These pencils are much darker than #2 school pencils. This pencil beats all others for sketching on newsprint and is bold on white paper. They are fantastic because this is the only pencil they will need for basic drawing.

The quality and consistency of prismacolor is always amazing. Will purchase again as needed. It's a great bargain.



Cons

Every pencil i try to sharpen just crumbles when it reaches a certain point. The tip either breaks during sharpening, or as soon as it makes contact with the paper. Will not be ordering any future pencils online.

This product is truly disappointing. Absolutley garbage. Would not recommend. This is unacceptable!

The only reason i would use this pencil over my mechanical pencil is to get an even pencil shading on a sketch (that won't be scanned into photoshop) it's not even like the pencil itself is black, so there's no reason for advertising confusion. I agre...  Read More

Daughter love prismacolor pencils because the quality of the color, easy to work with, easy to blend, and make her pictures pop.


But that has nothing to do with the product itself.


The sanford pencils don't shed as much graphite while the prismacolor noticeably do.

    The graphite will fracture the length of the pencil and you can sharpen it and it will fall off until you have just a nub
