Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

The caps are tight but my 10-year-old granddaughter had no difficulty removing and replacing them. Suitable for young budding artists. Our (almost) 15 year old granddaughter is a budding artist.

The pigments provide rich and opaque colors. Plus i like having 9 different nib options, that's awesome. The colors are so vibrantl! And it colors beautifully with no bleeding.

Prismacolor markets are my go to for marker illustrations. The color vibrancy is good but the spectrum noir markers seems just as good to me.

If you have copics, these blend out easily with them, but you can tell that they aren't the same formula. Sometimes when i need a bigger area to color, i prefer the prismas just because they are a bit cheaper to use.

Cons

They have paint markers, (metallic silver, and matallic gold) for what? A lot of the skin tones are too transparent or they are too dark to make realistic skin tones. If you don't jam them shut, the tops come off and dries out the ink.

The number on the box matches and says sku 3721. But like usual, it isn't worth the trouble or expense to return. At their trouble and expense. Love prismacolors but this new packaging is horrible.

Quality

So far the quality has been good.

Good purchase for these markers and really reasonable price for the quality and brand!

A bit pricey for markers but i guess you pay for quality.

Again, when it comes to blending i think the copics are much better because these colors stick a little bit more.

Price

I went ahead and purchased them because the price was down.

Competitiveness

I have had prismacolor markers for years.

They are very comparable to copics, so if you need a cheaper replacement, i do recommend getting these if they are on sale.

No brush nib, and the colors seemed to spread out a lot more in comparison to copics with usage of regular or water color paper.

But none including copic just don't color up (lol) to prismacolor.

However it seems like the price on these have gotten quite higher recently almost exactly the same as copics

I still recommend copics over these if its only about a dollar difference
