Pros & Cons

Pros

Son likes drawing, using pencils and this was his first ‘greyscale’ set. The lead lays down so smoothly! They blend very very well. The smoothness is amazing!

Good sharpener. Emery works well. Lots of different hardnesses for shading, and drawing.

While prismacolor isn’t known for its graphite pencils, this is a serviceable set in a nice tin. The case is much larger than i'd expected, which is probably on me since it shows how many pencils are in it. The tin keeps it all tidy and easily fits in...  Read More

Cons

Pink erase and kneaded rubber, they are dry and deformed. Pencil sharpener is way too small and feeds at an angle rather than straight.

Quality

This is my 3rd set in the past 2 years and i see zero flaws and have had zero issues!

These will last a long time, give you a variety or options for any project, and the quality is great.

It just breaks & separates when you try to mold it in any way.

The full graphites are coated so you don't get it all over your hands.

Price

Good value since they were on sale from amazon!

They loved it and i got a great bargain on the holiday sale!

Good for beginner's at a beginner's price.

I was hoping to get my son a set of 48 prismacolor pencils for $60.

Shipping

Delivery was great, came on time and the product was good.

After reading the reviews before purchasing i was a bit concerned that they would be damaged during shipping.

Packaging/appearance

Makes for a nice gift and stocking stuffer!

All came in the tin which is great, too.

Competitiveness

I’m still playing around with them and learning a bit, but these are so much better than my cheap-o “artist” pencils from hobby lobby!
