Pros

Great purchase. It's a bit overpriced though. This one wins hands down.

The prismacolor pencil sharpener is ergonomically shaped. The lid pops on and off really good. I like that it has a canister that holds the shavings neatly inside.

Cons

The shorter one works fine, but the standard side leaves the pencil lead jagged and won't sharpen cleanly. It sharpens short and fat and you have to keep using it to keep your point.

If you lose the top, it's a goner. The lid is * and flimsy. It eats your pencil.

I bought this to see if it would help as the lead kept breaking and falling out of my new prisma color pencils.

This arrived nicely and i liked it.

Packaging/appearance

The process is so simple once you know the "trick", just wish the packaging would have shown how with a couple of pictures.

One little thing not mentioned on the package is how to open it to empty the shavings.

Competitiveness

This works better than any other i’ve tried.

I was going to give it three stars, but it sharpens my pencils better than anything else i've tried.
