One issue and a a half a point * is if the seal is not tight enough to prevent extra batter from seeping through. My only complaint is the batter will drip out the sides a bit, which makes cleanup a bit of a mess.

Square design makes it easy to find a spot in your cupboard when it's not in use. It stands up on it's end with chord storage so it's relatively easy to store away when you want to. Easy to clean with a paper towel.

Waffles cook even and the trick is to wait long enough until the waffle has at least solidified before testing it for firmness. It cooks evenly and quickly. It's strength is that it cooks a nice even waffle and cleans up easy.

You preheat the waffle maker by plugging it in. Add your waffle batter and wait a couple minutes. A green light comes on when it's ready for the batter to be poured. It has a ready light but i like mine crispy so i leave them in a little longer.
