This is a very nice upgrade product.
I like that it comes with the battery tender function.
The one star cut was for amazon delivery, not the product.
I replaced a parallax 7345 converter with the progressive pd4645.
Shipping
(btw, pd support was extremely fast and helpful.
Packaging/appearance
So far so good looks like it is working,i will keep a eye on it and see how it charges the battery's.
Competitiveness
A lot better and safer than the old unit.
Progressive dynamics has a great product at a reasonable price.
Dont forget to lable wires when you take the old unit out.

The transformer always had a slight hum and when the noisy internal fan failed it would overheat until the thermal cutout kicked in

Progressive dynamics stated that there have been some converters shipped without serial numbers which means you get no warranty

It charged up the house batteries in about 24 hours i only heard the fan come on one time for a few minutes the only reason i even heard it was because i was sitting on the steps right beside it move away a couple feet and you will not hear it at all

Installation was a bit tricky and required reading the manual for correct installation
