Pros

Easy to clean, easy to use, and nice and wide. Good mandolin with multi-cut functions.

This thing works beautifully! I hope it never dies, but all things do. Huge bonus.

Cons

The video goes fast and lacks useful closeups. The idea is good, but the product is clumsy to use. Basically, a piece of garbage now.

The pusher prongs (what there are of them) are too thick, too far apart, and not sharp enough. The julienne blades are almost as dull and so thick you have to again use muscle to get the produce through. It isn't consistent slicing.

My sweet hubby destroyed the blade on the first one.

Price

I ordered a less expensive one and returned it when it would not slice an onion.

Packaging/appearance

Did not come with instruction book only vague instructions on side of box.

The video demo i saw them doing corn on looked super easy, but it just didn't work out as perfectly as they made it look.

Competitiveness

The quality is great on the pl8 brand.

It’s incomparable with other slicers, stop wasting your money on other brands and just invest on this if you slice alot.

I haven't used the other blades yet, but i'm sure they'll be just as good.

I'd read a lot of comparison, reviews, and how-to articles before settling on the progressive international pl8.
