Just drop the ball down the shaft and it forms a small crack in a ring around the top of the egg

If you use it with just a bowl the pressure will cause the bottle rather than top to crack

Sometimes the bottom of the egg cracks so maybe less force or better cups would fix this

Be careful not to move where the cap sits in between weight drops or it will move where the scoring occurs and leave a lessthanperfect edge but still ok
