It also helps to securely hold the cup onto the egg. Your egg just sits in the egg cup and you put this device on top.

Good quality product, i like it very much.

This thing works great and makes cutting a soft boiled egg so much easier.

I have no talent for it, they inevitably crack into a million pieces when i hit the side of a bowl, and eggshells always sneak on.

And egg has to be centered and multiple lift and drop actions must be made in order for this thing to work.
