Pros

Laces seem to be a little questionable but if needed can be replaced. They are lighter than a traditional boot so less fatigue.

Good ankle support. Was getting blisters in old shoes from extra walking. Also, the insoles are removable, so he can put a better arch support into the boot. Will keep his feet dry on rainy days.

Hard to find 100% leather boots wide enough to fit comfortably. They are wide, the sole is rigid, they are light, comfortable and good looking.

Cons
