The pad is on one side and you just slide it around to the position that works best for you. It slips on easily,and stays put throughout the night.

It is soft, snug, and comfortable. The part that has the padding is every bit as cushiony as it was the day i received it. No bulky pillow.
A side sleeper, this brace prevents bony knees clanging together while trying to sleep. It also helps relieve minor back and hip pain while sleeping on my side.

This knee cushion is a perfect halfway point between too thick and uncomfortable and something which was too light to be of help.
