Not sure about other vehicles but when installing this in a toyota fj there is a well documented issue with the placement of one of the pins in the provided adapter harness

You have to move one pin over to an empty slot or you lose your subwoofer functionality

Although plenty of people have said you just slip a jewelers flat blade in and the pin pops right out that is not at all what i experienced
