The product works in the sense that it allows android auto to work on any android head unit, though the experience is not as smooth as it would be on a head unit with android auto built-in (i bought this to replace a sony xav ax100)first, the adapter does not provide enough voltage to charge the phone, so for long trips, you'll lose a lot of battery.  Read Less
