Pros

The weight of the pad which allows for a more deep penetrating heat treatment. It feels very comfortable and secure laying across my are and shoulder.

It heats nice but won't scorch your skin off. The small power button on the pad is genius! No more having to pull a cord to reach the remote. The company is also true to their warranty. They also have terrific customer service, prompt and helpful.

Cons

I'm basically only using it as a heating pad. I'm not using it for anything else.
