Pros
The new one is more compact so takes up less room on the bedside table. The sound quality is if anything better, and i can receive more stations and use bluetooth to play from my phone and tablet.

A very well made alarm radio with excellent sound quality.
Great sound, easy to set up and navigate the system.
The first lost electric power after 2 days of minimal use.
I have, to date, purchased two of these pure evoke h3 radios and both have been returned as faulty.
Price
Good value, very clear compact dab radio.
Shipping
The second arrived with 8 local stations already installed and no others - the scanning function did not appear to work.
Please bear in mind that the delivery π is two days.
I unfortunately left my research a little two late for next day delivery, but nether the less it arrived within the stated time.
Packaging/appearance
The box was just posted in a plastic bag and the box was damaged on arrival.
Battery pack is on order, so am unable to comment on that.
Competitiveness
In hindsight i think the more expensive model with 2 speakers would have been a better buy to give more volume and stereo sound... Read More

One last point the size given is of the radio itβs self

It does not account for the input power cable which adds approximately another 10mm to the depth so be careful if space is at a premium
