Pros
Going up against a high-level tetris player is like bringing a knife to a gunfight! Sega bought the franchise out from its original holders, compile, in 1998. Free dlc characters added in the past couple months too.
Highlights
Quality
Aaaaaaaaaaa) as well as some nice quality of life updates.
This is just normal balance issues, there are people much more in to it to give details.
But the solo game modes could be improved a lot with the different options out there for tetris.
That said i do have a bit of history with the game and have some issues with it.

The price is comparable to other sites and it was free delivery.

This game makes it seem like you are forced to incorporate the puyo puyo part.

I didnt think much of it until recently when i learned that the game was supposedly an adaptation of a thenjapan only game called puyo puyo

Asis puyo pop fever which supposedly had very bad voice acting in english releases and whose failure caused sega to make the franchise japanonly again

That might also explain why the tetris franchise is so awkwardly fused to this game tetriss brand recognition

Hot tip if youre ever going to play this game competitively dont fuse puyo puyo with tetris play only puyo puyo only tetris or the swap format where you alternate between both

What’s left of the playerbase only queues up for tetris league which is a real bummer since the other modes seem so fun to play with someone
