Pros & Cons
Pros
The perfect gift, my granddaughter loves it. Found this for her on amazon and was blown away by the price.
My only real complaint (other than the strap silliness) is the quality control. Great 1/4 scale guitar for a budget price.
It takes a different amount of pressure to fret a note at the first fret than it does at the 12th. The clip-on digital tuner is very helpful. Labella makes them in 1/4, 1/2 and 3/4 tension.
This one is pretty close in size to the kala baritone uke. It has a really deep resonate tone as well. It sounds very much as loud and deep as a standard sized guitar.
Cons
As soon as you try to toon it, it goes right out of toon. It is nigh impossible to tune the guitar and have it maintain tuning. Using a digital tuner it's just as bad.
One string is so long and unattached that it needs to be completely redone. The wood is frayed at the ends in places, shellac is bubbled in places and there's actually splinters at the very bottom of the frets.
Highlights
Quality
It has a hard plastic (or something similar) body that feels very solid and feels like it will last a long time as well.
Sounds good and the quality is amazing.
Tune pegs are very hard to turn, bridge & nut are too high for small children hands.
First off, the action is set too high, even for a steel string player like me.
Price
Great 1/4 scale guitar for a budget price.
Great for the price and good quality
Overall, i paid $95 for a piece of junk.
Found this for her on amazon and was blown away by the price.
Shipping
This guitar arrived promptly, and well packaged.
To receive the warranty you have to write a review.
Packaging/appearance
It was well packaged nothing damaged except the box and i blame that on amazon.
Competitiveness
This one is pretty close in size to the kala baritone uke, and quite a bit bigger than the guitalele.
I chose the 30” version because i also have a kala baritone ukelele and a yamaha guitalele.

Labella makes them in 14 12 and 34 tension for the same reason violin string manufacturers make fractional sets for student violins

Providing proper string tension with shorter scale instruments when tuned to 440 concert pitch is very important

If you use a typical full scale set on a smaller scale instrument the strings when tuned feel very loose and dont resonate properly
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
Fractional strings make a noticeable impact on tuning and tonal quality on not only violins but unknowingly to most educators guitars as well

If i had a single criticism it would be the strings that come on it

You will need to replace if you have a serious student these continue to stretch as you attempt to keep tuned
