Pros & Cons
Pros
Perfect size for my 8 yr old boy to start learning on. My son is 8 and a lefty, this guitar is perfect for him. We are excited for her to start taking classes & getting used to playing her first instrument!
This one is close in size to the kala baritone uke. It takes a different amount of pressure to fret a note at the first fret than it does at the 12th. The nylon strings are a must for kids' fingers on any cheap acoustic guitar.
Cons
Company is promising 2 months of lessons then giving you the finger after you buy the product. It's junk if it can't be played. Don't buy it. Returning for refund.
The 3 low strings are completely dead on the first fret. One string is so long and unattached that it needs to be completely redone. The low e string, open, buzzes all the way to the 12th fret.
The finish is some strange chemical compound that produces noxious fumes and gases when it burns. The rosette around the sound hole is a cheaply and poorly applied sticker. All the paint on the guitar rubs right off my whole shirt looks like someone p... Read More

Out of the package it looks great and once tuned, sounds great.
Very pleased with the whole package everything included to learn how to play guitar could not have been more pleasantly surprised

The included "gig bag" is slightly protective; one reviewer called it more a "dust cover," but that's ok.
Competitiveness
I've tried a lot of student guitars, and this one is clearly the best i've used.
This one is pretty close in size to the kala baritone uke, and quite a bit bigger than the guitalele.
I chose the 30” version because i also have a kala baritone ukelele and a yamaha guitalele.

The strings must be retuned when new to get them properly stretched but that happens with all nylon strings
