Pros & Cons
Pros
The sound is good enough. Even though i've hooked it up to a speaker that's seen better days, the sound quality is still solid. No hum or distortion. My only qualm is that there’s no on/off switch.
The pyle pp444 has both a plug and a lug with which to attach a ground. It's exactly what i needed to make my new-age amp work with older technology. Allows use of my turntable and bose for easy listening to my vinyl.
Cons
The audio output is very low and you have to crank it up to get it even close to line level. Playing the turntable did not remove the plosive sound.
Not worth 20 bucks. Do not recommend. It's completely useless.
This is what you get for shopping the cheapest thing i guess. Bought a higher end unit from another brand. The thing is just a piece of junk.
Highlights
Quality
Immediately overall performance and improvements were noticeable with enhanced sound quality and product overall performance.
Easy to install and worked perfectly to bring my 30+ year old turntable to life.
Just plugged in for the first time and it amplified my record player signal at least 4-5x it’s volume.
Tried to hook it up to my receiver and no sound, wth.
Price
I forgot there was no phono input so the sound was weak, ordered this for under $30 and there it was full sound.
I didn’t need a receiver or spendings hundreds of dollars on a new speaker system.
Good for the price but lacks a volume knob and other basic features.
Figured i’d start with this inexpensive pyle, which i remember pyle from my car audio days.
Competitiveness
More expensive models sound better, but this is perfect for starter systems or temporary use.
I had another cheap brand and it burned out / stopped working.
Bought some shielded rca cables and a ground wire to go from the pyle to the receiver.
