My previous cover had a velcro flap for accessing the fuel tank and that was a bad idea allowing wind to whip it open and air to flow into and under the cover

I did add an additional ratchet strap over the cowling below the windshield to further inhibit airflow

I traveled over wet salt spray winter roads and my snowmobile was clean when i took the cover off 240 miles later
