Pros & Cons
Pros
The box is retro and awesome, but most peeps will probably require an adapter. Sounds legit. Packing is great, and everything was wrapped properly.
Cons
No matter how i ground it there is audible hum, and the sound it highly distorted. Grounded or ungrounded this preamp has a horrible feedback with and without input. Nothing but distortion and static.
This preamp is a nightmare. It's completely useless. This is what you get for shopping the cheapest thing i guess.
Right channel input was never correctly soldered to the board. Bought higher quality preamp and problem solved. The thing is just a piece of junk.
Highlights
Quality
Immediately overall performance and improvements were noticeable with enhanced sound quality and product overall performance.
Easy to install and worked perfectly to bring my 30+ year old turntable to life.
The pyle amplifies the very weak signal from the casio privia px-300 keyboard well.
Just plugged in for the first time and it amplified my record player signal at least 4-5x it’s volume.
Price
And for the price, this pyle preamp sounds very good.
I forgot there was no phono input so the sound was weak, ordered this for under $30 and there it was full sound.
I have a more expensive preamp that i have had for a year and the right channel output just stopped working.
I highly recommend them if you are in a budget.
Competitiveness
More expensive models sound better, but this is perfect for starter systems or temporary use.
I had another cheap brand and it burned out / stopped working.
Bought some shielded rca cables and a ground wire to go from the pyle to the receiver.

I tried about a half dozen of small compact or mini phono pre amps and in my opinion they all sound much the same for the most part i would say maybe so close that i would find it hard to tell apart in a blindfold test but some had some noise some didn’t have an onoff switch some had a headphone volume control that didn’t work and some i could tell them apart from others and they didn’t sound as musical as the others

So after my testing from a very small group i picked the pyle with the power onoff button and i only tried one brand that had a volume control for the headphones and the volume control didn’t work if i need another one i may try that brand again due to the very good customer service i received from them and maybe i just had a dud that happens from time to time with mass production products plus i’m not much of a headphone listener anyway and the preset volume is to loud for me
