Pros
It has a charging jack so if you put a rechargeable 9v in it, you can plug it in. I find it to be reliably sensitive for my purpose. Big things get detected from farther away.
Using it to find nails in reclaimed wood before putting the wood through planer. Will be invaluable in checking if cows have picked up a nail in the hoof. Found nails in 150 year old rough sawn oak.
