Pros
Pyrex dishes are terrific & durable and are worth the extra money. The size difference between the bottom and lid is just right making them easier to manage during sterile work.
Cons
Have already had two tops shatter during hand washing and only used twice since purchase. Now that it's double the price i'm already unwilling to pay, i just find it reprehensible.

One last observation these plates have ripples vs the mirrorsmooth corning plates so if you are using these plates under a binocular microscope they may not be the best choice

In the past i’ve exclusive opted for cheaper dishes it always irked me at how thin loose clunky the fit was but i just assumed that that was the designnature of petri dishes in general loose rattley clunky illfitting
