Pros

The pie pan is the exact size needed for the pre-made flaky pie crusts that i buy. It's large enough i use it for cobblers. Large enough to carry the double crust that i had made that was super thick and also the 6 large granny smith apples.

With a coating of pam before baking, my quiches come out clean. It cooks very evenly and has a nice sturdy-ness to it.

I like the easy grab rim, definitely seems like it would be helpful. I, also, like that the rim makes it easy to crimp along the edges.

Can't wait to make chicken pot pie and maybe in a few months shepard's pie and of course desserts. This dish also holds 6c, all the way to the top. Using one as a pet food bowl in order to get away from plastic containers or from pet food bowls made i...  Read More

Cons

These plates are very durable and result in a great pie.

5" pie plate (which, again, rarely holds the entire pie recipe, despite the recipes never calling for a 9.

The glass pie plate seems sturdy and of a high quality, but i can't comment on how well it bakes or how long that quality lasts.

Price

What a bargain; caught it on sale.

The price was great, and it's nice and deep.

Shipping

It arrived packaged great as to avoid any accidents in shipping.

It arrived just fine and works just fine and is pyrex.

Packaging/appearance

The dish came very well packaged and in great condition.

Received in excellent condition and love it.

Competitiveness

I much prefer pyrex over anchor hocking because it is so much lighter and easier to handle and this new design is an improvement.

Comparison: i used to make a pumpkin pie using the smaller can of pumpkin and it would fill the whole tin, it this pie pan it w...  Read More

This would be great for beginners

Family prefers 934 of course but this is deeper than standard pie plates so it makes a big pie

One caution would be that these pies result in very very deep dish pies so for some recipes the might result in a low crusttofilling ratio

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Many are shallower and we wanted one that had more depth

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I have been making chicken pies and turkey pies whenever i have dinner leftovers

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I never make my own crust because i always buy the large round pastry crusts sold in a long rectangular box found in the dairy section of my grocery store

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I had been cutting them to fit over my large deep rectangular pyrex pans
