Build quality is top-notch, and they feel durable. Only complaint is they don't include new half-moon replacement clips.

Just added these to my 2000 4runner rear hatch. Fits my 4runner perfectly and lifts the hatch all the way up.

Function is flawless. Great product. Definitely a good upgrade choice. That is beneficial to view and do.

Easy installation, solid material, fast shipping. Has made lighting our camp stove 10x easier.

Cons

The pistons of the lifters are about 1/2 the thickness of my original 1998 4runner. No one sells the complete installation package for these lifters. Spend your hard earned inflated money elsewhere. The strut on there are very strong but getting there... Read More

I resort to lifting the entire weight of the hatch and bracing it open with trekking poles. They are barely capable of holding up the lift gate and are incapable of lifting it above the halfway mark. No additional weight on the rear lift gate.

These are a great quality lifts and heavy duty takes a bit more strength pushing closed instead of my old lifts hitting me on the head.

Easy install, strong and more then support the hatch on my 3rd gen 4runner

They were made out a really thin and sharp sheet metal.

It 4/30/24 and my struts just started drooping.

Price

Oem part was $78 for one side, so this was a huge savings.

For how long they lasted me, this was a great value!

Way way way cheaper than going the toyota oem route.

Take one to the store to get correct size and pickup a few extras for the install as they are less than 40 cents each.

I spent the extra money and got the better brand that let me use the original hardware.

My 2002 4 runner hatch hasn’t stood up in years,it’s even better than brand new.

Originally, i purchased a different brand that had cheap attaching hardware and didn't allow the use of the oem hardware.
