The instructions for the bottom brackets are fine you want to drill 1 58 inches from where the bottom of the board will be

The instructions for the top brackets however say to drill 12 inch from where the top of the board should be with the idea that you will hammer the bracket down at a later step to be flush with the top of the board

This does not work however because the screw and the bracket sticking out make it so that when you go to put the top finishing screws in the hole at the top of the bracket is too close to the edge of the wood

This is because the frame border extends down in the back about 34 inches

This gets the screw below the border so that the hole in the top of the bracket is positioned correctly

Long story short the instructions will mislead you and you will have two 14 inch holes drilled in your wall that are no good
