Pros

The instructions that came with this bed are top notch. There are 3 different instruction booklets, there are a few occasions that you have to jump from one booklet to another. The customer service is top notch and the answered my call on 2 rings.

Kits are so complete, that anyone with basic woodworking skills can build this. This is the most sturdy piece of furniture i have ever owned. Need to switch out the handle and bulk up the nightstands a bit, but it's perfect for our office space.

I was fortunate to not need to buy any tools for the project so the only cost was materials specific to this bed.

Reasonably priced and easy to assemble with minimal tools and it doesn't require advanced carpentry skills to assemble.

Materials were purchased at menards and cost just under $300.

The cost of wood was a little more expensive then i was anticipating, but over all very reasonable and great deal

With a few hours of emailing the company they responded and immediately shipped a new piston at no cost.

Competitiveness

The videos claims any homedepot or lowes will cut the pieces.

I used mdf and plywood but i suspect you would get a better job with all ply.
