The 1/4' npt female threads are machined too small to accept a connection. Also, the 1/ 4' thread is just a bushing, which came out when i had to use a wrench to get the stuck piece unthreaded, exposing the valve seat. Do not buy this brand.

This removed the odor until you actually opened and closed the valve and the lubricant was again exposed and the smell was obvious.

Using one of these valves at the input of a small air regulator that feeds my laser engraver

Unless youre running really high pressure or corrosive liquids through it it will likely outlast you

Then tried white vinigar with no results

Finally washed in the dishwasher
