The 1/4' npt female threads are machined too small to accept a connection. Also, the 1/ 4' thread is just a bushing, which came out when i had to use a wrench to get the stuck piece unthreaded, exposing the valve seat.

I used this to extend a radiator drain so it doesnt drain on the front crossmember and make a puddle the size of lake erie on the shop floor
