One tip not yet mentioned cut the film between your trowel and the window not between the trowel and the sill

When the film is squeegeed it stretches a tiny bit leaving a tiny overlap with the sill

The product lost a star because when it is dark outside and light inside you can recognize someone and it is obvious what they are doing when they are within about 2 feet of the window
