Pros

The rachio 3 is really smart, and very user friendly. It takes 30 minutes to install and configure. I am a tech geek, but you do not need to be to appreciate this device.

It is awesome! Would recommend. The best part is i got a $150 rebate through my utility company, which made buying this totally worth it.

The rachio is very smart and doesn't water all zones during a cycle. During my over seeding periods i have it temporarily water for a few minutes every night to keep the seed moist but not overly wet to encourage germination. It also has a connection ... Read More

The app integrates local weather but have not seen it in action yet. From setting up each zone and customizing it, to being able to set up your system to run off the different weather patterns. The closest noaa station is about 10 miles away.

Cons

The company's chat and voice support options are completely unresponsive. I hate the presets that are determined by the company that makes the app. These rachios aren’t designed to last, buggy and unreliable.

Rachio’s instructions and assistance are really subpar. Already have a dormant spot because of this.

I figured i could install one myself for cheaper than they would, and that was absolutely the case.

Definitely going to pay for itself in a month of watering.
