Pros

The styling is very outdoorsy. Great quality out of the gate with a solid body construction. I like the retro look of the radio.

The speaker is surprisingly adequate once you figure out the volume dial is actually the bezel on the compass as well. Good receiver, good sound quality and volume.

Cons

The raddy re40 portable shortwave radio is disappointing. I get bad music with so much static that it is unpleasant to listen to. This is not a portable radio.
