This net is horrible. Tied off at several points along two sides. Plastic stakes bend when you try to put them in the ground.

It did not adhere to rebar or stakes so we had to put in wood stakes and staple the netting

We had to open and close the fence of netting and make sure the bottom seam closed

So the netting did prevent the japanese maple leaves from entering the pond however just to note you will need to have a support bar under the net to keep it from touching the pond water

This net has small enough mesh weave that is prevents leaves from falling into the pond while still allowing the koi food to fall into the pond to feed the fish

Since then i haven’t lost any fish to a heron…so i assume it deters him
