Pros

This allows a full double shot with tamping down to the ring. No more screen imprints in the puck. This allows you to use a tamper with a diameter that is a tight tolerance to the basket.

Cons

It channels and sprays badly when used with a bottomless portafilter. Fit and finish is typical chinese. Looks like a cheap imitation. Holes too big, a grind that works well on real rancilio portafillter flies through this one.
