Pros
A proper espresso is all about temp & timing (also the proper grind) the pid allows you to pinpoint the exact temp the machine is at within 1 degree. The steam wand is jet engine powerful.
Easy peasy and just a few hours time to install. Unwrap it, lol.
It takes a while to get it down, it’s all about the grind. I weigh my shots for the best consistency. Pair it with the rancilio rocky grinder and solid stainless steel 58mm tamper.
The pid is an expensive addition, but its well worth it. It is on the somewhat pricey side, though the last one with bells & whistles cost almost as much but didn't last commensurate with the price paid.
Cons
Very disappointed as a first time expresso buyer. Expect to wear some water while emptying the ill-conceived drip pan. Experienced same issue with their grinder.

Quality
It's very well made and i've loved the various coffees i've tried with making my lattes.
It makes excellent espresso, is easy to set up, program, and clean.
Green light went out acouple months into having the machine and it has been difficult to get or find support for it to be replaced.
Too much coffee will bog down the pour, too little coffee will result in a pour that is too weak and a pour that is too fast.
Price
I bought the pump from amazon for around $30 and easily replaced it myself.
And, after a few weeks of using miss silvia, i like it a great deal.
Man i would spend $30 on doordash or uber eats just so i could have a coffee delivered.
I paid about $850 for the 2 of them 20 years ago and silvia is now $800+ alone.
Packaging/appearance
If you want simple and don’t mind the box look of the machine in which i think looks classy and clean.
Competitiveness
My lattes are way better then starbucks.
The steaming wand on the sylvia pro has 4 openings so it steams the milk much faster than the gaggia pro, more like a commercial unit.

At the 14 year point it had an annoying small water leak which i ignored it was the gasket on the boiler which went dry and the heating element got ruined
