I have been building pcs and pi's for a few years so i was comfortable assembling the kit.

The only improvement i would have liked is an on-off switch on the power supply but it's not a deal breaker.

Although this kit comes with noobs pre-installed on the included micro-sd card i set my unit up as an openhabian server.

Note that the fan only runs at startup and if the temp goes above 60 degrees c

I would suggest folks new to the pi world take advantage of the many youtube videos before starting out
