I bought this external battery partly out of curiosity and chose ravpower after noting the predominantly favourable reviews on amazon for all ravpower products

It is well made but as with all external batteries it is not 100 efficient that is it will not transfer 100 of its rated power to the devices you want to charge

So far it works well but inevitably if you want a nominal capacity of 10400 mah you have to accept a product that weighs a few ounces more than an external battery of significantly lower nominal capacity

In fact this external charger has not got warm at all either whilst being charged or being used as a charger for either my kindle mobile phone or mini ipad

Excellent product easy to use comes with usb cables but not suitable for the iphone
