It does not give any type of click or tactile feedback when putting in an sd card you just kind of press the card in and see if it shows up in your file explorer or finder

A couple things to note a if you are moving data from your phone to your computer your computer will either need a usbc port that the reader can plug in to or you will need to remove the sd card or thumb drive from the reader and plug it into your computer to read the data and b it is cumbersome to move a large number of photos or files from an iphone to a storage device connected to the reader
