It was a bit touch and go getting the batteries in as there is a very small notch that has to be lined up exactly to get the base screwed on correctly

Took off a star for no way to turn it completely off without removing the batteries so you have to pull the batteries in between use

If you want to light up the whole campsite ray o vac and others make some very powerful dcell led lamps that might be a better choice

You will see pwm on low so no current regulation on either big or small

I bought this 2 of them when ny was hit with a storm because they took aa batteries you could not get any cs or ds anywhere
