Pros

Smoke alarms go peep! It was either buy these, or shoot my smoke detectors. They work as expected, no problems. They get used in customer's fire alarms and other equipment needs.

Rayovac battery lasts 10 to 11 days. Energizer alkaline 9 v batteries. Good price for 9 volts.

Cons

The expiration date is dec 2016 so unless they were stored outside in the blistering sun for months they should be okay. Is't that 3 years and 5 months freshness? That's about 68% fresh. Less than three years before expiration!

This is the last time i will be purchasing the rayovac ultrapro 9v's. Found 2 almost dead already. Too much of a hassle to return. Half of the cells dead means twice the price for the live ones, which is unacceptable.

Batteries are only for backup during power outages. As they approach their end date, the battery efficiency deteriorates.
