Pros & Cons
Pros
Rayovac flashlight costs $6 and has a 60-hour battery life. It uses aa batteries instead of d cells. Lower power consumption means it can operate for longer than a maglite.
Strong, bright light and i love the gel grip. I hope one of the other two will show up in red.
It's solid and has a slightly rubbery surface. Only complaint is that the rubberized side panels peel up after extended use. Mine have stayed clean and serviceable without peeling off.
The rayovac is perfect for this purpose. This flashlight helps to solve those issues for me. Update feb 2013:yup.
It's not the brightest flashlight in the world but it throws a sufficient beam to light your home, path or trail. The beam has a moderately clean spot with plenty of spill light to brighten any room.
Cons
The 5 lumen flashlight is far dimmer than the low setting on other better dual led flashlights, like the various maglights that take aa or aaa.

The gel absorbs grime and dirt and is impossible to clean.
Gel, tape, rubber, bonded to plastic or metal just won't stay put.
Price
I could wish for more than one light level but at this price i'm happy.
In short, for what i required, and certainly for the price, this is ideal.
Got mine at walmart for 8 bucks.
I bought mine at northern tool for $ 4.
Shipping
They came two days later and i've been using them all summer.
Packaging/appearance

Competitiveness
The brightness is almost equal to expensive models, and its simple plastic lens makes best use of the leds by combining them into one beam.
The price can't be beaten and rayovac is a distinguished name in the flash light business.
I've owned mag light and many other higher priced options, and this one outperforms them all.
