The current software for the keyboard however has it as american layout even though the keyboard is arranged for uk layout

Synapse is a mixed bag as usual its fine to use but not having the rgb config save to the boards sucks and well good luck running synapse without it eating all the ram it has access to

Would recommend this as long as you arent paying above market for it but just consider others like the one 2 mini or hyperx 60 as they offer a little better value but a more standard switch and typing experience
